One in A Million?

I was in a store. My purse was thrown over one shoulder. I was hot, but the nice kind of hot. The kind of hot you get when you’ve just worked hard to get where you are.

I saw the book and since it was that: a book, of course I picked it up.

“The odds of you being born in this moment, this place, and this time: 1 in 400,000,000,000.”

And suddenly, me being here, right here, right now, seemed so much more important
